The company opened its first recycling plant at the company headquarters in Morbach as long ago as 1992. Since then the recycling capacity has been expanded continuously so that today about 54,000 tons of plastic granulate derived from waste are recycled per year at Papier-Mettler. This means that Papier-Mettler has the largest production capacity in the whole of Europe.
