ecoLoop – the success story

The Papier-Mettler ecoLoop brand has been established on the market for many years now and still continues to convince our customers. Papier-Mettler recycles more than 35,000 tons of old film a year (tendency: rising) from which it makes ecoLoop carrier bags. In order to meet the growing demand throughout Europe, Papier-Mettler opened a new Post Consumer Recycling Plant in Lens, France at the end of 2010. So the ecoLoop success story goes on!

Recycling has been a tradition at Papier-Mettler since as early as 1992, a tradition that we are proud of, because Post Consumer Recycling (PCR) is by no means a process commonly found in our times – as opposed to Industrial Recycling (IR)! Technical expertise and experience are requirements that Papier-Mettler meets and which it uses for the manufacture of environmentally friendly ecoLoop bags.
