ecoLoop is a recycling loop process in which Papier-Mettler collects flexible packaging and converts it into high grade raw material. This raw material is then used to produce new carrier bags for you – with guaranteed continuous high quality. If you do not produce sufficient waste material and are therefore not able to close the loop, you can still purchase carrier bags from recycled plastic. Give it a go! |

Collection Waste material is collected from a designated point and transported to our recycling facility. Processing At first the film is shredded and washed. After drying the material is heated until molten and filtered to remove impurities. Granulation The molten material is processed into granulate. Quality Control Following quality control the granulate is ready for use as high grade quality raw material. Production The granulate is then extruded to produce recycled film ready for printing and converting into new carrier bags for your customers use. The loop is now complete and ready to start again. |
